I got a book last Christmas called “Adrianisms: the Wit and Wisdom of Adrian Rogers.” It has had so many wonderful sayings, most of them original to the late Rev. Rogers. I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I think I could write a blog on almost every one. Here are few highlights…

Has it ever occurred to you that nothing ever occurs to God?” – Wow, I loved this one. God knows everything. And nothing ever surprises him. Somehow that is very comforting to me.

I am the visible part of the invisible Christ. He is the invisible part of the visible me.” – Such a simple way to communicate a profoundly deep truth. We are the visible ambassadors of Christ to the world aren’t we?

God doesn’t just love ALL of us. He loves EACH of us.” – Think about that. Not just collectively as a group. But each, individual person is special to God.

Holiness is not the way to Christ. Christ is the way to Holiness.” – This has to be my favorite right now. Modern Christians have it so backwards. At least, I know I have had it backwards. Trying to be holy so I can have more of Christ. Trying to live right so God will be pleased with me and use me. When I need more of Christ in order to have real holiness, and only then can God use me. The pathway to a godly life in Christ is always, always through Christ himself.
