I can do all things through Christ!
Here is a video that I found to be very encouraging. It is about a young man who asks his dad to compete in the “Ironman” competition with him. They both raced, but as a team. See, one of them has Cerebral Palsy. (I won’t tell you which one.) It is an inspiring video, not just because it displays the love of father and son but also because it illustrates a much deeper spiritual principle. It illustrates that it is only in Christ that we can do anything. Jesus said, “Apart from me, you can do nothing.” We can do amazing things, but only if Christ is doing the work. Essentially, we are just along for the ride.
Let this video remind you where your strength comes from…..and remember —– OUR REDEEMER LIVES!!!
Thanks to Donna Dunnam for sending this to us. Sometimes forwards are annoying. And sometimes they are used by God to lift us up and help us keep going.
WOW!!!
oh my…that guy must be in the best shape humanly possible!!
I actually got to see them in person this past November. I was meeting some girls from college, one I hadn’t seen since college, on the west coast of Florida for a weekend. We had no idea that at the same time the Ironman was also on the island we were staying at and we got to watch. It was SO COOL to see the father/son team that I had read about, etc. I was so excited. The Dad takes Fatherhood and dedication to a whole new level!!! Really inspiring.
Inspiring and touching. It is awesome to think that our heavenly Father is also providing the strength that we need to get us through the race. All we can do is trust Him and his plan. -Tim
Wow!
