Mother’s Day Sermon
Here are the sermon notes from Sunday: Celebrating Womanhood
I encourage you to read it, and consider the great value of women. Gals, look at this and remember how precious you are in the sight of God, and how unique in His creation. (Woman was made from Adam, everything else including Adam was made from the Earth. Notice that God made the rib into a woman, not created the woman “out of” the rib.) Guys, read it and remember how much women deserve honor, especially those in our family.
Womanhood, femininity, is a wonderful and beautiful thing. God determined that man was not complete without a help, meet (meaning, suitable) for him. That doesn’t mean all you single guys out there are not complete men or fully manly, but it does mean that your life would be empty without the investment of the women in your lives, especially your mother and sisters. Men need a lot of help, and Women were designed as the perfect helper to their man. (Father or Husband.) This sermon has the potential to spark some interesting discussions, so as you have time…..discuss!
Modern feminism destroys femininity in favor of masculinity, and dilutes masculinity at the same time. I say they were both meant to work in perfect harmony, not diminishing each other but complimenting each other. Let true womanhood live!!!
jrod,
concerning “who made god?”
we would have to look to the question that would succeed that question, which would be “who made the thing that made god?”.
the question after that would be “who made the thing that made the thing that made god?”
do you see where this is going? We would find ourselves in an infinite regression.
The only answer is for there to be unmoved mover. An uncreated creator. An eternal God. A “he is that he is” 🙂
The atheists then responded with the idea that the universe is eternal. That argument doesn’t make sense because all scientists agree that the universe had a beginning…they just disagree with how it actually began.
Thanks so much for posting that sermon. Powerful stuff. God bless you, Jarod!!
