The Good Ground
Here is the final version of the sermon notes from the series on the Parable of the Sower. I’ve been very blessed by this study, and I think the people here at the church have also been blessed.
On a technical note, if you go back to download any of the other parts of this message (parts 1-3) you will get the exact same document as you would get above. So if this is your first visit, only one click needed.
I’ve also been told that my sermon on the Fear of the Lord is not on this blog….anywhere. So, here are the sermon notes to that message also. The Fear of the Lord is so foundational to our lives. It is one of two things mentioned as the “whole duty of man” in Eccl. 12:13.
I have also been reminded that I need to post on the topic of music, and why I encourage people not to listen to most CCM. (Most, not all.) More accurately, why I do not listen to it. I am more than happy to share that, but it may take some time before I get to it. (I’m putting off valuable work time just to post this.) So that is on the way, just so you know.
So many other things go through my head to blog about, but here is a thought to spur some thinking, DoctorLuke style.
Does God bless marriages? Does he bless any marriage? Or does he bless the people in the marriage? Is the act of marriage what brings the blessing, or the state of the life of those getting married? What does a “blessed” marriage look like? Do you see where I’m going with that? Comments are free today, so let yourself go!
