The Preciousness of TIME

No, I’m not referring to the magazine “TIME”. I have not noticed very much that is “precious” coming from that lot.

I am thinking of that flighty little commodity that we all have, but it never seems to be enough. We all have the same amount, but some of us get a better return on our investment than others. Oh yeah, you have to spend this commodity or you lose it. You can’t save it to use later. It’s a right now kind of thing, or it’s gone. Yeah… that time.

Such a precious thing. I have learned that time is a very valuable resource. It is probably the most valuable thing I posses, if you don’t count a relationship as a thing. I have to choose how I invest my time very carefully. I only have a limited number of minutes and I have to be very selective about how they are used.

Which is probably why I haven’t been blogging as of late. Those precious blogging minutes are spent in more important things…like husbandry, living on a farm and all. Then there is “husbanding”, being married to a wonderful lady. 🙂 And of course “fatherness” requires a lot of time. These are all precious investments, and bring a much more precious return than anything the Internet ever gave me. *Can I get an AMEN?*

Blogging takes a lower rung on the priority list than these things, and really so many others. But of course I’m not sure who will read this, because they say in order to get readership up you have to read and comment on other blogs yourself. What?! Well you can just forget about that for now. I barely have enough time to invest these few lines on the preciousness of time. So you and me, Internet, we’re sharing a moment alone here aren’t we. 😉

Well, there it goes. I’ve actually run out of time for this blog. Maybe I could borrow some? Would any of you like to loan me 30 minutes or so? Then I can have 24 1/2 hours today right? I’ll pay it back later. Can’t you take out a “time loan” so you can get more done in one day?

Ahh….wouldn’t that be nice.
