What is Vision really?
Posted On April 18, 2007
Here are the sermon notes from last Sunday’s sermon: A Fresh Look at an Old Proverb
I spoke about the importance of communicating vision, and the importance of keeping the law for receiving a God-given, righteous vision. I also talked about what a vision really is. That was very interesting to me. I feel as though I have a better understanding of that proverb after studying it thoroughly. I hope you enjoy it also and are blessed and even challenged.

That’s good, Jarod. I dare say that that “communicating of God’s truth to the family” can be confirmed with words, but is most caught and learned (or rejected) by one’s life. What you said reminded me of Mr. Davis’ words from the current HSC DVD: “Leaders lead.” That’s not, “try to be a leader and try to lead,” its “YOU ARE a leader, thus YOU ARE leading, whether you like it or not,” and as you say, being so closely connected to God as to be literally directed by Him is crucial for this.
Thanks!

Thank you, Jarod, for this good and rich reminder. (Nice to know that you caught some of the vision and burden that God placed in our family life, despite the messenger at times.) Keep up the work in the word.
Love ya’. Dad.
P.S. Run all out.
